The following is a selection of professional work from 2007 - 2014.
The Timber Seasoning Shelter is a 200 square meter canopy built for the Architectural Association's rural campus in Dorset, England. The principal structure is comprised of 322 variable geometries, steam bent. This project was executed by myself and three other fellow graduate students for the MArch program Design and Make.
High(est) end custom metal fabrication and machine shop located in West Oakland, California, serving the Bay Area. Creative, intelligent, ephemeral environment. Projects range from multimillion dollar urban home remodels, San Francisco bars, mobile food containers, and Napa wineries.
Personally responsible for all project management, shop drawings and daily problem solving.
Face d+f, located in Brooklyn, NY is set up as a combined shop and studio with a constant discourse between the two. Conceived as spatial equipment plugged into NYC’s existing urban fabric. Projects range in scale from custom door pulls to furniture, storefronts, to kit-of-parts living structures.
Personal responsibilities included conceptual design, 3-d modelling of prototypes, shop drawings, physical fabrication, patina work, welding and installation, construction administration and orchestra conduction.
Both principals were trained as architects and met while working at Stephen Holl's office. When the office won the Storefront for Art and Architecture commission, Todd and Reuben offered to build the project and thus began Face.
